Your questions answered
How is your battery system safer than conventional lithium-ion?
Our system uses immersion cooling with a non-flammable, dielectric liquid. This prevents fire propagation at the cell level, even in the event of thermal runaway. Unlike air- or liquid-cooled lithium-ion systems, our technology eliminates the risk of combustion and exceeds UL 9540 and NFPA 855 safety standards.
Can your BESS be used in facilities with strict permitting requirements?
Yes. Our non-flammable design reduces fire risk, which simplifies and accelerates permitting, especially in jurisdictions with cautious AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction). We’ve designed our system with sensitive sites like hospitals, data centers, and public safety facilities in mind.
How long can your battery system support operations during a grid outage?
It depends on system size and load requirements. Typical installations can provide 2–8 hours of runtime, with modular designs that scale to meet extended backup needs or integrate into larger microgrid configurations.
How does your system integrate with existing infrastructure?
Our systems are designed to integrate with existing EMS, BMS, and backup generation assets. Whether you’re running a microgrid, using solar PV, or tied to utility infrastructure, we offer flexible deployment models tailored to critical infrastructure environments.
What kind of maintenance does your immersion-cooled system require?
Maintenance is significantly reduced compared to traditional liquid-cooled systems. Our system has fewer moving parts and stable thermal conditions—resulting in lower degradation, less wear, and minimal service intervals.
Is your solution compliant with government and public sector procurement standards?
Yes. ETICA prioritizes traceability, cybersecurity, and long-term reliability in its supply chain. Our systems are designed to meet the requirements of public-sector, defense, and utility-grade procurement.
