EticaAG Launches HazGuard to Neutralize Toxic Battery Gases
EticaAG, a leader in non-flammable battery energy storage systems, today announced the launch of HazGuard™, powered by TRAPS. This gas conversion and venting system is engineered to eliminate toxic emissions during thermal runaway events. With this new offering, EticaAG becomes the first BESS provider to offer a complete safety solution: no fire, no propagation, and now, no toxic gas.
HazGuard integrates with EticaAG’s non-flammable battery energy storage systems, which already utilizes patented LiquidShield™ immersion technology to suppress thermal runaway at the cell level. If gas is released, HazGuard activates to rapidly vent, neutralize, and safely release inert gas into the surrounding environment. This eliminates harmful byproducts like hydrogen fluoride (HF), carbon monoxide, and other flammable vapors.

HazGuard features a multi-stage gas conversion system powered by patent-pending technology that neutralizes toxic and flammable gases in real time. Treated air is exhausted at safe levels well below regulatory thresholds, supporting compliance and improving safety in sensitive deployments such as data centers, hospitals, and densely populated urban sites.
The system integrates seamlessly into EticaAG’s cabinet and container configurations and is recommended for any application with a zero-tolerance policy for toxic or flammable discharge.
